Duration:    26 weeks

Wage:          $524.00 per week

THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN ST. JOHN’S

We are looking for a candidate with marketing/social media/writing and sponsorship experience who will work closely with the Executive Director, Programs, Marketing & Communications Director and the Award Show Producer.

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and the Programs, Marketing & Communications Director, this Coordinator is responsible for performing tasks related to the event as stated below.

General Tasks:

  •   Experience in a marketing/sponsorship acquisition role is essential
  •   Proficiency in all social media applications required
  •   Responsible for the successful implementation of all elements of contracts including sponsor/partnership ticketing, signage, merchandise etc.
  •   Assist with the development and delivery of all event posters & brochures
  •   Ensure sponsor/partners receive all negotiated benefits as per signed contracts
  •   Communicate with sponsor/partners on a regular basis
  •   Be committed to managing corporate relationships on behalf of Music NL
  •   Responsible for the weekly newsletter, e-blasts, all social media & website maintenance
  •   Assist with the setup of open mics in communities across the Province. 6 per year (excluding St. John’s)
  •   Assist with the setup of 4 info sessions in communities here and across the province.
  •   Coordinate and control MusicNl’s banners & signage
  •   Have strong interpersonal communication skills
  •   Proficient in MS office products including power point and Excel.

Export Program Logistics Coordinator and Export Program related Administration

Duration:    26 weeks

Wage:          $524.00 per week

The Export Program Logistics Coordinator and Export Program related Admin Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director of Music NL and the Marketing, Programs and Communications Director.

THIS POSITION IS BASED IN ST. JOHN’S

General tasks: Export Program Logistics Coordinator and Export related Administration position:

This individual will be involved with assisting in the onsite organizing and the coordination of the MusicNL Week 2018 Export Buyers Program and Conference activities. The Export Buyers Program and Conference Coordinator will work directly with the Export Program Manager and the Executive Director of MusicNL to assist in the implementation, coordination and logistical arrangements for the MusicNL Week 2018 Export Buyers Program and Conference, and related activities. Responsibilities would include:

  •     Researching and interpreting the needs of the MusicNL membership to ascertain the goals of the 2018 MusicNL Week Conference and Export Buyers Program
  •     Recruitment of Export Buyer Delegates for MusicNL Week
  •     Market research to assist in recruitment of quality delegates (speakers/panelists) to MusicNL
  •     Arranging travel and accommodations for Export Delegates and conference presenters (flights,    ground transport, hotels)
  •     Planning, management and implementation of Export Buyers Showcases; including scheduling time slots, running order, venue, technical requirements, sound checks, volunteer requirements
  •     Coordination of MusicNL Export Program one-on-one business meetings
  •     Overall delivery of MusicNL 2018 Export Buyers Program activities; including orientation, networking reception, debriefing.
  •     Planning, management and the implementation of the conference and business development sessions (working with the conference committee, confirming targeted speakers/panelists, preparing conference information, schedules etc.)
  •     Coordination and development of conference schedule and guide
  •     Coordination and management of delegate bio information/photos for conference speakers and international Export Buyers Program delegates (for all marketing purposes)
  •     Management and execution of related events prior to MusicNL Week (Mentorship Program and Export Readiness Training Workshop)
  •     Liaise with Programs and Communications to execute a comprehensive Conference communication plan to the membership
  •     Coordination and preparation of a conference marketing package(s) to be distributed and communicated to MusicNL members (digital media, announcements, releases etc.)
  •     Coordination of all marketing and technical requirements for the Conference (advance and onsite delivery)
  •     Coordination and management of the MusicNL volunteer requirements for the Conference, liaising with the MusicNL Volunteer Coordinator
  •     Coordination of conference survey (executed on-site)
  •     Execution of online post-event surveys (Survey Monkey) with members attending conference activities/sessions/meetings following the event
  •     Compile all surveys and report findings or recommendations
  •     Meet with all Export Showcasing musicians after the Conference to assess the experience and to document any bookings realized from the program
  •     Prepare final report outlining outcomes, successes and recommendations for future programs
  •      Financial and budget management of MusicNL Week Export Program and Conference.

Qualifications:

  •     Strong organizational skills especially as it relates to conference coordination
  •     Familiarity with Newfoundland and Labrador music industry
  •     Experience in event logistics
  •     Experience working with volunteers
  •     Good writing skills ie presenters bios, marketing materials, members survey
  •     Ability to work with the AV company for conference and showcase rooms set up
  •     Troubleshooting and quick, effective decision making
