Kyleigh Brisson is a multi-genre artist originally from Corner Brook, NL. She began her musical endeavours at the age of 9, where she began taking guitar lessons. Her interest in the guitar was originally for the sole purpose of accompanying her singing, however, her love for the instrument has blossomed over the years. She currently resides in St. John’s where she is studying classical guitar at Memorial University. Kyleigh has been in multiple ensembles, including the MUN Latin ensemble and the MUN Jazz choir.
Outside of her studies, Kyleigh writes music and performs in the folk-pop genre. She has opened for many artists including The Fortunate Ones and Brian Byrne as well as Earl and Coffin. Kyleigh has received awards in performance, her accomplishments include runner up in the Music NL’s NewFound Talent competition in 2014, the Achieving Community Excellence (ACE) award from the City of Corner Brook for Emerging artist of the year in 2015 as well as the Outstanding soloist award at The Atlantic Festivals of Music at London Ont. in 2016.
