Kelsey Arsenault is a multi-instrumentalist hailing from Ferryland, NL. She is a recent graduate from the Memorial University School of Music. Kelsey has been training her musical abilities for the past 18 years, studying classical piano under the direction of Keith Pender, Cheryl Clark, Dr. Phil Roberts and most recently Dr. Kristina Szutor. She has been involved in the music sphere as both a solo and collaborative pianist, with a sweet spot for impressionism.
Kelsey has acquired considerable recognition as a well-rounded musician, often taking the stage as well to sing and self-accompany with guitar. Growing up in outport Newfoundland has fostered an appreciation for the music and culture of her home. She frequently performs traditional music with her family, rooted in Irish Newfoundland story and song. Outside the music school, Kelsey is an active community musician in the city of St. John’s and sings alto with the Gower Street United Church Choir’s choral scholar program. She has gained significant experience through volunteer efforts with the L’Arche Avalon community and the Better Breathing Choir. Kelsey is continuing her studies in pursuit of becoming a Music Therapist, where she finds her relationship with music the most meaningful.
