“This place and what you’re doing here and the support that you’re giving new artists, I think it’s right at the top…it’s fantastic.”
Kathleen Wynne, Ontario Premier
“As City Hall pursues its own vigorous agenda in increasing support for and collaboration with Toronto’s music sector, we look to leading organizations like CMI who continue their invaluable work in helping Toronto artists navigate the music industry,” says Mayor John Tory. “Touring CMI gave me a good understanding of some of the challenges Toronto artists face and how City Hall can help.”
John Tory, Toronto Mayor
“As a band coming from outside of Ontario (East Coast), we didn’t really have too many connections or networks in the Toronto music scene. By the end of the program, we were already connected with 40-50 music industry professionals based in Ontario and had a cross-Ontario “401” tour fully booked. All from the help of the CMI staff.”
