Colleen Power Receives Award From Montréal

Newfoundland singer/songwriter Colleen Power has received an award following her performances in the previous year at Montreal’s Rendez-vous de la Chanson Vivante. The event is a weekly series of performances of emerging singer/songwriters and features performers from all over the world. Colleen received a trophy for Maritime Artist of the Year. The awards ceremony was held earlier this winter. She was unable to attend because she is currently completing her French degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland."I am extremely proud because this is truly a world class event and French is not my mother tongue. I am so happy that the French audiences in Montréal like my French songs so much!", says Colleen. She is invited for a return engagement at Les Rendez-Vous de la Chanson Vivante in May of this year. Colleen is currently in the process of recording her second full-length French CD.
