Philippa Jones – Suspended

In 2009, Philippa Jones started her St. John’s based visual arts professional practice, after having completed a Bachelor of Fine Art as well as a Masters in Arts focused on Interactive Art and Design from the University College Falmouth. Her work has been included in a group exhibition at The Rooms called New Romantics, a solo exhibition called MIRIAD, as well as others in New Brunswick and British Colombia, and at the National Gallery of Canada, which made her the first artist based in Newfoundland and Labrador to be included in a National Gallery of Canada contemporary biennial.

With her latest body of work being exhibited at The Rooms under the title Suspended just about to conclude, we chat with Philippa in a video interview to learn more about the exhibition, her professional art practice, and what’s next in our latest feature…
