Lawnya Vawnya; An Exposition of Independent Art and Culture 2018 Music Programming 
ALVVAYS, LAND OF TALK, YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN, CLAIRMONT THE SECOND, BERNICE, RAE SPOON, BOOJI BOYS, SORREY, EAMON MCGRATH, MAYLEE TODD and many more 
Lawnya Vawnya: An Exposition of Independent Art & Culture is a non-profit organization that presents some of the most innovative independent music and art from local, national and international stages. Lawnya Vawnya returns with its eighth festival from May 23- 26, 2018 in downtown St. John’s, NL.
We are excited to present headlining performances by recent 2018 Juno award winners, Alvvays, the Toronto-based four-piece indie pop machine fronted by East Coast vocalist Molly Rankin; Montreal’s own Land of Talk showcasing their soulful indie rock sound; Toronto-based Yamantaka//Sonic Titan fusing noise, metal, pop and folk music into a multidisciplinary psychedelic experience; Clairmont the Second, one of Toronto’s most exciting emerging rappers and producers; Toronto electro-pop five piece Bernice, who pairs heady vocal melodies with playful sonic explorations; Rae Spoon, the Calgary born musician, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and author who’s music spans folk, indie rock and electronic genres; Halifax’s Booji Boys, showcasing their version of post-punk; and Sorrey, the PEI dream-rock band lead by frontwoman, Emilee Sorrey. We are also thrilled to present Eamon McGrath, a folk-rock based singer songwriter from Edmonton, Alberta, and Toronto’s creative powerhouse Maylee Todd, an independent musician, performance artist and producer who will be showcasing her latest multimedia experience, Virtual Womb.
With more amazing performances by Strongboy (NS), Mark Bragg (NL), Gramercy Riffs (NL), Botfly (NS), The Kubasonics (NL), Lo Siento (NL), Conditioner (NL), Jane Blanchard (NB), Kira Sheppard (NL), Family Video (NL), Trouser (NL), Weary (NL), Yee Grlz (NL), john (NL), Greta Warner (NL), Cicerone (NL), Rube & Rake (NL), Land of the Lakes (NL), The Van Buren Boys (NL), Albert Dalton (NL) & the Renee Sharpe Show (NL).
Also on the schedule are panel discussions, artist talks, a film screening, readings, the record and press fair, pop-up shows and the always popular all-age music crawls.
