With major success from Informants’ EP, Ezekiel, Newfoundland worship band is releasing their new full-length album Uprising. The band has funded the release partially through their IndieGoGo campaign, which raised over $16k. This project encompasses all the creativity of the four members of the band, as well as their message.
The album title Uprising represents Informants’ journey as they have shared their music and message with the Christian movement in Canada and the US. “I’ve seen that many young people across our nation are starving for purpose, but they don’t yet have the courage to step into the unknown” says Christian Victory. “Our hope is that through our music, message, and hard work we can encourage our generation to live as radical and loving as Jesus did.”
Thematically, Informants’ songs merge a union of Worship & Mission. Songs like Hollow Grave, Forever Your Grace, Take Me and Hope Uprising focuses on the nature and character of Jesus, while songs like Courage, Fire It Burns, and Attention focuses on the mission of the church.
Informants has started from small beginnings in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2012 where they decided to take a major dive into their art full-time. Since then they have been on multiple Canadian and US tours playing major events such as YC Alberta, Breakforth Canada, and Big Ticket Festival. Furthermore, Informants received the 2015 Covenant Awards “New Artist of the Year” as well as the 2016 East Coast Music Awards “Gospel Album of the Year.”
Uprising has already made an impact with their first Single Courage currently charting on the Canadian Christian radio top 10 charts. April 1 will be the release of the New Album along with Informants’ 40 date Spring Tour across Canada and America.
