Natasha is a performer, arranger, educator, event planner and technician based out of St. John's, Newfoundland. Hailing from Stephenville, she has a diploma in Recording Arts from College of the North Atlantic, an Honours Degree in Jazz Performance from St. FX University, as well as a degree in Music Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Currently you will find her performing with Eastern Owl, Doctor Androbox, and Jazz East Big Band, as well side-work with dozens of other short-term projects. She is proficient as a vocalist, pianist, percussionist, and woodwind player, but also works as a sound technician, stage manager, and event planner with several different festivals and theatre companies. She is known by many as an experienced and professional "jill-of-all-trades" in the arts.
Natasha has a finely tuned skill for large ensemble arranging, and you may have heard her writing recently on Sean Murray's album "Out Of Nowhere", or in live performances with Shallaway Youth Choirs, or Ladycove Women's Choir, to name a few. She spends a fair bit of time writing and arranging pieces for different schools in Atlantic Canada, including Bel Ayr Elementary in Nova Scotia, and Holland College on PEI.
She owes a great deal of her success to the mentorship from the late and great Sara..h MacDonald Anderson, who taught her from a young age to "love the art in you, and not the 'you' in art", and her greatest passion is to be on the sidelines, helping other people to shine.
