Born and raised in Lamaline, Newfoundland and now living in Ajax, Ontario, Jason came onto the music scene when he was about 12 years old and he can remember how he learned how to play guitar sitting around with his father and his uncles just watching their every move. He and his family share great love for playing, performing and writing country and Newfoundland music.Jason has a very distinct vocal tone which is aptly suited for the style of songs he brings to the table.
Jason has also recorded several singles and albums at his own studio JRM Studios and 416 Audio Productions out of Toronto…releases already include country songs Another Lonely Day, Big City Country Blues & country gospel song He Makes The Day as well as Newfoundland song releases from his current Newfoundland album project Saltwater Hands, Lamaline, Berry Pickin' Time, We Thank You For Our Newfoundland,Those Bloody Roundabouts, and Northern Flicker all of which were written by himself and his father Ralph Martin…more future recordings to come including a full album of songs from and about Newfoundland.
