Isle of Ease
Isle of Ease is a new folk-rock duo based out of St. John’s, Newfoundland. This diverse two-piece blends acoustic guitar melodies with a dynamic mix of percussive highs and lows. Dan McLean handles vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica, and is accompanied by his pal Adam Billard on drums, percussion, and harmony vocals.
After playing together for the last few years, Dan and Adam have built up a collection of original material and released their debut EP in July 2014. With a collection of folk inspired original songs, Isle of Ease integrates lush harmonies with twisting tempo swings to keep tunes interesting. Crafting enjoyable music, writing meaningful songs and creating engaging live shows are the main goals for these two young musicians.
Isle of Ease are excited to be heading to Toronto in May 2015 for a showcase at Canadian Music Week and an accompanying tour around the mainland. Upon return to St. John’s, Adam and Dan are jumping into the studio to record their debut full-length album. This anticipated release will feature songs that Adam and Dan have been singing at recent Isle of Ease shows, as well as some new material that the lads have been keeping under wraps.
