Adrian House is a unique singer-songwriter and performer, incorporating blues, rock, folk and country into his style. His 2013 solo album “Too Strong” received three Music NL Award nominations including Songwriter of the Year, and it’s been onwards and upwards ever since for this exciting artist.
In 2014 House’s band The Connexions showcased at the Music NL Awards, where they were nominated for Alternative Artist of the Year for their album “Connect Four.” The band completed a tour across the island, opened the Lawnya Vawnya Festival, and closed the Art Marathon Festival in St. John’s.
After a showcase at the 2016 Music NL Awards, Adrian released his latest album “Love a Man” in November. Featuring a range of styles, The Overcast praised the record for its “courageous exploration of the artist’s breadth of abilities.” Fred’s Records listed it as a “must have for your music collection,” and the album has received consistent airplay, including being selected as “Producer’s Pick” on the East Coast Countdown (Halifax). The Newfoundland Herald (April ’17) called his music “expressive, honest and above all, impactful, in all of the ways that count.”
House and his band The Foundation have played in St. John’s with Jake Nicoll, Mark Bragg, Peter Willie Youngtree, and Katie Baggs, and plan a tour in late fall ’17. He is currently writing for a new album for early 2018.
Adrian House is a special talent in St. John’s’ diverse music scene, and one you don’t want to miss.
